So guess what's working?

Yep, my mower is finally working, well, running. There’s still a few gremlins I need to sort out with it. But here’s the break down of my costs so far. Estimations of course.

Battery: $40

Safety switch: $13 x 2 = 26

Bolts: $4

Marvels mystery oil: $5

Oil can: $13 (I meant to pick up a $7 one, pick the most expensive one by accident).

Oil pan, cleaner, & towel: $5

SAE 30: $5

Ignition: $10

Zip ties: $8

Gas can: $20

Total: $136

Keep in mind that this is a 7 to 10 year old mower, and new on the market back then was $2000. And used nowadays you can find it for >$400. So, I think it’s a decent tradeoff.

The things that are left to do is get new tires, and see why it has trouble going up a hill when the deck blades are on. Of course, the experience was tremendous and priceless. I’m actually a little eager to try and tackle another project, :).

But this guy is fast! 21 hp and a 6-speed manual, it's fun to drive too, :).
